⚡ What System1 does here

Jev evaluates protective-equipment questions for each detected person's image crop. A separate browser model locates people, while application code handles records and presentation. The visual checks use TypeSafe's experimental image capability.

About

JevCam's PPE Monitor is a site-entry camera demonstration built around a Raspberry Pi and a NoIR camera. Users configure a watch list, such as a hard hat and reflective vest. In the current source, a browser detector locates people and submits image crops to the server; Jev answers whether each person wears the requested items. The dashboard records results with snapshots and supports manual corrections. Live camera frames and actual TypeSafe API calls are implemented. Seeded history and demo arrivals are simulated, and the page can fall back to a drawn scene when live services are unavailable. Dashboard totals therefore do not establish real deployment results. A TypeSafe API key and camera hardware are needed for the live path; their costs are separate. TypeSafe introduced image support as an experimental feature and stated that it was not reliable enough to endorse for production use. This is a prototype, without demonstrated factory safety-monitoring reliability. We reviewed documentation and code on 2026-10-26 but did not run the project.
